Your Dad Made You; Act Like It
# Spectrum of Love
The shellfish lives for itself,
Content in its solitary shell,
Unaware of the world's vast spell.
**The selfish live for themselves as themself,**
Through love of themself,
Their world revolves around their own wealth.
**And the selfless thrive on loving others as themself,**
Their hearts expand, their spirits soar,
Their love for others, they adore.
**And as a person climbs in between these two,**
They represent a spectrum of love,
A journey of self-discovery, from above.
Delusions and lusts, and denials of trust,
Worthlessness and worthfilled people they meet as love,
A tapestry of experiences, they must rise above.
And of love they see, and of love they know,
As if they were always aware, they were love of self,
A realization that dawns, a truth they must delve.
From shellfish to selfish, to selfless and beyond,
A spectrum of love, a journey so grand,
Discovering the true meaning of love, hand in hand.
